Autumn in Asakusa
Hello. This is Wanariya.
How are you all doing?
Here in Asakusa, the sounds of autumn insects can be heard every night.
Now, speaking of sustainability, Wanariya was invited to attend the Sustainable Future Fest 2024, hosted by Nomura Real Estate, at the Ikebukuro Sunshine Building, so we went there.
Among the many supporting companies, Wanariya carried out Aizome indigo dyeing on-site. We are very happy that it was very well received!!
The idea of sustainability has been around for a long time in Japan’s traditional crafts.
For example, re-dyeing
Furthermore, for clothes that can no longer be re-dyed, they are sewn into rags!
This idea of taking good care of things is part of Japanese tradition.
It’s wonderful, isn’t it? I was reminded of the greatness of our predecessors.
Wanariya will continue this tradition.
So Let ’s make Aizome and weaving at Wanariya located in Asakusa as autumn deepens.
Wanariya is the entrance to Japanese culture.
